Pry is a home security app designed for Airbnb hosts, landlords, and homeowners. It scans your WiFi network and nearby Bluetooth devices to help you understand the security of your own property. All scanning and analysis runs entirely on your device. Maxola Labs does not collect, store, transmit, or sell any personal data, scan results, or property information of any kind.
Pry collects nothing. The app has no server, no backend, and no data pipeline. Specifically, Pry does not collect:
Every feature in Pry runs entirely on your iPhone. Network scanning uses Apple's Network framework to probe devices on your local WiFi subnet. Bluetooth scanning uses Apple's CoreBluetooth framework to detect nearby devices. All risk scoring and analysis runs against a bundled local database — no internet connection is required to use any scanning feature.
Scan results, property check-up sessions, field notes, and exported reports are stored only on your device using iOS's secure local storage. If you export a PDF or JSON report, it is generated entirely on your device and shared via iOS's native share sheet directly to your chosen destination. Maxola Labs never receives a copy of any exported data.
Pry Pro subscriptions are processed entirely by Apple through StoreKit 2. Maxola Labs never receives your payment information, Apple ID, or billing details. Subscription status is verified on-device using Apple's cryptographic transaction verification. No subscription or payment data is transmitted to Maxola Labs servers.
Pry requires no account, no email address, no registration, and no login of any kind. There is no Maxola Labs server that the app communicates with at any point during normal operation.
Pry contains no third-party analytics SDKs, advertising frameworks, crash reporting services, or tracking libraries. The app is built entirely with Apple's native frameworks — SwiftUI, CoreBluetooth, Network, and StoreKit. There are zero external dependencies.
Pry is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children. The app does not contain features designed for children.
If we make material changes to this privacy policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of Pry after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
